i couldn't bear to spend $4 on 30 wontons so i decided to make them myself. of course, the only time i did make them was at my dad's restaurant about 15 years ago. so, i figured i had it covered.
one pound of pork (not lean) and about 100 wonton wrappers later, i was faced with the inability to access the memory of what my hands did when making the wontons.
after making and eating about 20 very questionable wontons for dinner, i enlisted rob's help to help complete the wonton making.
rob was really pleased with his own technique and thinks his wontons totally look like jellyfish. judge for yourselves.
my technique is more along the lines of the folded triangle. i know, i fail in wonton-making.
however, we ended up with 76 wontons which are now in the freezer waiting for consumption.
